04 / Digital

Web-based immersive app design

Custom browser-based companion experiences that can start the show days before opening night. Share clues in advance, release story chapters by QR code, reveal characters, build curiosity and keep guests exploring after the event. Mobile-first experiences without app-store downloads.

05 / Location-based

GPS walkthroughs & geographic tours

Original self-guided tours for towns, historic districts, venues, museums and scenic routes. Visitors use a mobile browser to follow a real-world trail, with location-aware chapters, characters, challenges or discoveries available at designated stops. We can create historical walking tours, supernatural trails, outdoor mysteries and location-based visitor experiences, with QR-based alternatives where GPS isn't suitable.

Digital case study

Before the show,
the story begins.

Imagine arriving at a venue already knowing its ghosts, the strange events of its past, and the one person who may be lying. That is the opportunity in digital pre-show storytelling.

The Baltimore Experience presents immersive Baltimore stories. Its Echoes from the Haunted Harbor companion demonstrates location-based narrative chapters, QR-triggered progression, and a connection between the visitor's journey through a building and the live show.

For your event, we can develop an original companion suited to your own venue, storyline and audience. A welcome letter, clues and story chapters before the event; interactive discoveries during it; an epilogue to take home.

Case study / Baltimore's historic waterfront
Location-based case study

Every place
has a story.

A Ghost Walk of Fells Point demonstrates how a digital geographical tour can turn an ordinary walk into a theatrical journey. Six spirits occupy six real-world locations along the old waterfront. The story reveals itself to someone standing at the right place.

SpellCast can develop experiences like this for historic neighborhoods, hotels, attractions, heritage properties, tourism organizations and event producers. Visitors follow a route on their own schedule, with their phone serving as a guide, a storyteller, and occasionally an unreliable witness.

Location access is requested from the visitor when needed. The Fells Point example handles location on the visitor's device rather than sending their whereabouts to a server.
